Principles

Principles to ensure product quality is good right up to point of use:

The following shall be adopted to ensure that the Quality of Carrs Fertilisers products is as good at usage time as the day it was made.

Hauliers should check product being loaded is visibly free from damage and sign to confirm acceptance of this.

Recipients shall only sign for receipt of product that is visibly free from any damage. Any damage that has occurred in transit or during unloading shall be reported to Carrs Fertilisers (site where collected from) and the damaged product set aside.

Our products must be stored off the ground (on pallets) and under cover so that there is no risk of it getting wet or of the packages being damaged by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

The purpose of any complaint system is to collect enough information to allow identification of where or how the problem occurred. Where it is within our control and responsibility, Carrs Fertilisers will take steps to prevent the problem recurring and arrange for the complaint to be settled to the customer's satisfaction via this complaint system.

Distributors' Responsibilities

Clearly, when product is under Carrs Fertilisers management control we remain responsible for its condition. We will remain responsible if product is found to be unsatisfactory when the package is undamaged and it has been stored correctly and kept dry.

Distributors should therefore:

Ensure their hauliers are aware of the need to check that goods are visibly free from damage before signing for them at Carrs Fertilisers.

Ensure products are only despatched to stores or customers in good condition and obtain a signature that the products arrived in good condition.

Carrs Fertilisers should be notified within seven working days of delivery if any product arrives at stores or on farm that is not in good condition.

Ensure products are stored in good conditions (keep dry and under cover) whether in store or on your customer's farm.

If these steps are adopted then your customer, the farmer, will receive Carrs Fertilisers products in good condition. This will keep your customer happy and enhance both our reputations for supplying Quality products. It is also much easier to deal with any problems as they occur rather than later when the product is being used and the time is less convenient.
