FMA
(Fertiliser Manufacturers Association)
The FMA provides technical, legislative and health and safety support
and advice to its members, together with a representation to government
on fertiliser related issues.
Carrs
Fertilisers is a fully participative member of the FMA. Stan Denby,
Managing Director and Peter Scott, Technical Director are both on
the FMA's National Council. Stan Denby is President of the FMA,
and Peter Scott is Chairman of the Agriculture and Environment Committee.

the highest possible standards in all aspects of the production
and also the services and advice which we provide to our customers,
including meeting and exceeding compliance with all legislative
obligations.
FACTS
(Fertiliser Advisers Certification Training Scheme)
Carrs Fertilisers is committed to FACTS. Each of our sales and technical
staff are put through FACTS training and examination within 18 months
of starting with the company to ensure that the advice they offer
is of the highest possible standard.
The
company ensures this training is ongoing through the FACTS Continuous
Professional Development (CPD) points scheme.
LEAF
(Linking Environment and Farming)
LEAF is the umbrella organisation in the UK for the promotion of
Integrated Farm Management (IFM), which is seen by many in the industry
as the most suitable way forward for conventional agriculture to
deliver the multifaceted benefits being increasingly demanded of
it.
IFM
is a farming system that seeks to balance optimum, high quality
agricultural production with environmental protection to create
a sustainable industry within a viable rural economy.
Carrs Fertilisers are corporate members of LEAF and fully endorse
their work in promoting IFM. Our support extends beyond words to
the development of products (New Choice) and services (Technical
Services) designed for IFM.
