The FMA provides technical, legislative and health and safety support and advice to its members, together with a representation to government on fertiliser related issues.

Carrs Fertilisers is a fully participative member of the FMA. Stan Denby, Managing Director and Peter Scott, Technical Director are both on the FMA's National Council. Stan Denby is President of the FMA, and Peter Scott is Chairman of the Agriculture and Environment Committee.

Carrs Fertilisers, as members of the FMA, are fully committed to achieving the highest possible standards in all aspects of the production and also the services and advice which we provide to our customers, including meeting and exceeding compliance with all legislative obligations.

FACTS (Fertiliser Advisers Certification Training Scheme)

Carrs Fertilisers is committed to FACTS. Each of our sales and technical staff are put through FACTS training and examination within 18 months of starting with the company to ensure that the advice they offer is of the highest possible standard.

The company ensures this training is ongoing through the FACTS Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points scheme.

LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming)

LEAF is the umbrella organisation in the UK for the promotion of Integrated Farm Management (IFM), which is seen by many in the industry as the most suitable way forward for conventional agriculture to deliver the multifaceted benefits being increasingly demanded of it.

IFM is a farming system that seeks to balance optimum, high quality agricultural production with environmental protection to create a sustainable industry within a viable rural economy.

Carrs Fertilisers are corporate members of LEAF and fully endorse their work in promoting IFM. Our support extends beyond words to the development of products (New Choice) and services (Technical Services) designed for IFM.

Carrs Fertilisers are also involved in sponsorship initiatives with LEAF.
