PK: The Logistics
The
weekly production of ash is transferred from Westfield
in Fife to R & M Gairns Ltd in Stirling where it is
stored for conditioning. |

The ash is allowed to cool before being mechanically shredded, after
which it is stored as finished product ready for use.
‘Nutri-Choice
PK’ is available for delivery or collection in bulk loads,
ex R & M Gairns Ltd. at their Polmaise depot in Stirling, which
is within 1 mile of the national motorway network.
Once shredded, ‘Nutri-Choice PK’ stays in a perfect, ready
to spread condition. The product is suitable for application through
lime spreaders and belt driven fertiliser spreaders. It spreads
evenly and accurately.
Why
Use ‘Nutri-Choice PK’?
Unlike standard fertilisers, ‘Nutri-Choice PK’ contains
not just macro nutrients but also many important secondary nutrients
and essential trace elements (see Table 1 below).
The phosphate and potash in ‘Nutri-Choice PK’ are in a
phased release form which provide both an immediate supply of available
nutrient and also a sustained source of nutrient throughout the
growing season.
