DELIVERY
Carrs
Fertilisers can arrange delivery of their products to customer's
premises or, in the case of forestry fertilisers, to a pre-determined
forest location through a nationwide network of professional
hauliers and couriers.
Forestry
fertilisers are delivered by Ferguson (Transport) Ltd. of Spean
Bridge who, as one of the UK's leading timber hauliers, understands
the particularly demanding requirements of making deliveries
up
forest roads. Ferguson's have built up a fleet of specialised vehicles
for forest roads and have a range of off-loading equipment, which
can cope with big bags and pallets alike.
SPREADING
Carrs Fertilisers can arrange helicopter spreading of fertiliser
or laying out of 25 kg bags through PDG Helicopters who operate
a fleet of specialised aircraft, specifically designed for aerial
spreading and have unrivalled experience in aerial forestry operations
in the UK and Ireland.
PDG
Helicopters have pioneered the use of GIS satellite navigation systems.
GIS greatly assists the pilot in avoiding over flying environmentally
sensitive areas such as streams and rivers and in applying the fertiliser
evenly and accurately.
ALL-IN
SERVICE
Through their long associations with Ferguson Transport and PDG
Helicopters, together with their Technical Services (see below),
Carrs Fertilisers can offer forestry customers a comprehensive,
one-stop-shop aerial fertiliser service. This package can include
advice as to the best product to use, the provision of the fertiliser,
delivery and off-loading to site, aerial application and a GIS print
out of the spreading with customers being invoiced on an inclusive
£ per hectare basis.
This
complete package is becoming increasingly popular as customers see
and appreciate the benefits in releasing their own valuable time
by utilising the management and operational expertise of Carrs Fertilisers,
Ferguson Transport and PDG Helicopters.
